About the event
Help us plant native plants in the two Egerton Rd. Bioswales in Arlington. These bioswales were constructed by the town a few years ago to capture excess rainwater from the street and feature native plantings, but the initial native plantings have suffered from lack of maintenance. Twice this summer, volunteers removed invasives and non-New England weeds. The site is now ready for replacement of native grasses and flowers installed by the Town.
Bring gardening tools for planting and weeding - a small trowel, a large shovel, gloves; also remember to bring bug repellent, sunblock, and a hat.
Also - Can you volunteer to take a watering shift for the months after?
